  • 1. Create a Monthly Blog Writing Service
  • 2. Present on Purpose First, Then Service
  • 3. Make an Effort To Be Transparent
  • 4. Make Customers Feel Special
  • 5. Respond To Negative Feedback

When you have your own business, you quickly learn that customers are the heart and soul of your company’s success. With this important factor in mind, it is unsurprising that research says one of the most effective ways of growing a business is by connecting with customers. The question, is how do you do it?

Although you have undoubtedly put significant work into just putting your business together, this is no longer enough to be successful in the modern world. With so much competition out there, the only reliable way to stand out is by providing a product or service that is better than the others and marketing it in a way that potential customers remember when they are ready to buy.

1. Create a Monthly Blog Writing Service

Even before you start providing your products and services, you can start building an audience by sharing useful information with potential customers who are interested in what you provide and may buy in the future after they remember the information that you have provided them with. An excellent way to do this is by investing in a monthly blog writing service that can provide you with professional content that is perfect for your business while you focus on running the actual business part.

2. Present on Purpose First, Then Service

Another part of connecting with customers comes does to presentation. Consider, for example, how you are introducing your company to potential customers. Do you present your mission and purpose, or do you present your product or service first? If your answer is the former, then you may want to reconsider your approach. The reason for this is because want to know who you are and what you care about. In general, consumers tend to be more inclined to buy from companies with whom they feel they share common values.

3. Make an Effort To Be Transparent

When trying to reach customers, another thing to remember is the need to be transparent. To win people’s trust, transparency is always the best option. For this reason, if you have a policy of transparency from the beginning, and you stick to it, it can speak volumes to your audience. In the long run, being transparent is also good for your company. With transparent rules in place, you significantly decrease the chances of anyone being fraudulent or disloyal within the business itself.

4. Make Customers Feel Special

Here is a critical question for you: How are you making your customers feel? At the end of the day, everyone wants to feel special. When you make an effort to connect with customers and to make them valued, they will definitely notice. Some simple but meaningful ideas include doing something special for customers’ birthdays, offering holiday coupons and treats and other creative community-based efforts to engage with the people who support your company.

5. Respond To Negative Feedback

Running a business can be a thrill, but it is not always fun and games. Indeed, it is often challenging, and there will be times when conflicts with customers undoubtedly arise. Whenever this happens, you should never ignore it. For example, if you receive negative feedback (and you probably will at some point), make an effort to respond to it. Before you do, however, really take the time to read what the person said. As you do, attempt to understand things from his or her perspective. If an apology is appropriate, offer one. Even if you think it is unwarranted, it may still be a smart idea.

Remember, no matter how much money your business brings in, your customers are why you are experiencing that success (along with the help of your employees, of course). As such, you should always try to go the extra mile to let them know they matter. In most cases, they will probably remember that you did.
